As for golf fans, what could be more fun than to abandon oneself to one’s passion outside the season in one of the mildest climates?
You will find no less than 15 golf courses within a radius of 20 km. We have selected three of them, all different from each other, so that you can discover or rediscover every aspect of this sport.

FINCA CORTESIN
Finca Cortesín Golf Club was established with the aim of becoming a reference in the world of golf. It is also here that the last “Volvo World Match Play” was held after leaving England for the first since 1964.
The course is almost 7,000 m long. It is one of the longest in Europe.
It is a par 72 course with an average level of difficulty. The varied tees and the wide, undulating fairways allow most players to reach the green without difficulty.
Harald Hurgan, an internationally renowned landscape gardener, worked with Cabell Robinson, a course designer, on the complementary landscape.
ESTEPONA GOLF
Estepona Golf is one of the clubs that reflect the new conception of Golf on the Costa del Sol. Its designer, José Luis López, adapted the course to the terrain, which forced him to lay out narrow, twisting fairways. It is designed in particular for players with technical expertise rather than for “hitters” since its fairways are short and the roughs are very dangerous. Its young vegetation consists of palm trees and strategically planted eucalyptus. The water obstacles are concentrated in the middle of the course, which gives holes 6, 10 and 11 a special attraction. The most spectacular hole of the course is number 3, called the “ski piste” because of its line. This is a par 5 with a continuous descent where, with a big drive, it is possible to reach the green with two strokes. Number 10 is distinguished by its four lakes.
CABOPINO GOLF MARBELLA
This new course, located at the easternmost end of Marbella, is surrounded by a large number of trees and bushes. The player will have to use all the clubs in his bag and will enjoy magnificent views of the Mediterranean.
